Last of the Tuam survivors

My mother's name is Chrissy Tully. I'm Chrissys long lost son Patrick taken from her in the Tuam home in 1954. I found my birth mother Chrissy only 10 years ago we have been robbed of all those years together. I have a brother Michael that was also born in Tuam.

Chrissy never got over loosing us and the love of her life who went to England and never came back she never got married and spent her life alone she worked hard every day and tells me there isn't a day that went by where she didn't think of us. Chrissy story was featured in the Missing Childrens documentary by Tanya Stephens.

The reason for this page is Chrissy needs a home she is living in a council house which she has the opportunity to buy but can't afford. Chrissy is fearful that all record of her will go if she dies and the house is gone. Chrissys wish is that this house will remain her family home and connection to finding her long last son. Chrissy says "we have found no trace of Michael, apart from one record that says “return to the Tuam home”. He may be one of the children buried in the septic tank at the site of the former home, but equally he could have been illegally adopted".

Wherever he is, Chrissy has never gone to sleep without saying the rosary for him since the day she was told he was gone, she was 18 years old and has prayed every night for him since.

She fears that if he is alive, and he does look for her, that the home she had will be gone. Please help Chrissy keep her home Wherever Michael is, there should be a home for him every child needs to know their mother waited for them for as long as they could.
