Within the SCA, one doesn't need to travel far to hear the stories. We've all heard the name: Santa Lash. He's the hero who comes to save the day. Whether you've personally been the one he's rescued or it's someone in your camp, his reputation is known far and wide.

But this time, it's our turn to save Santa Lash and Mrs. Sho.

Recently, Sho was hit by a nasty scam that fully took advantage of her. The end result is that the scammers have taken all that was left in her savings, her "oh crap" fund, and the last remnants of her inheritance from her mother's passing. The event also slammed them with a ridiculous amount of overdraft fees that the bank refused to dismiss. Now, Sho is left without a job, without savings, and with a self-esteem that is battered and bruised.

This is our chance to show Lash and Sho what they mean to us and to help them get back on their feet. The only caveat: Lash has refused to accept even a single penny more than the total amount that they've lost, which is $8,900. Once this GoFundMe hits that goal (praying for success that we meet that goal), this GoFundMe will be closed.

We want to see Lash and Sho at events, we want them to see that they are loved and valued, and this is our turn to save the one who has come to our aid so many times. Any contribution will help, as will helping to spread the story far and wide.
