Lascelles Hall CC 200 Years and More!
Donation protected
Lascelles Hall CC is in it's 200th year and starting to thrive!
The club has faced challenges, including arson attacks that destroyed its clubhouse in 2010 and damaged its scoreboard in 2019, wiping out irreplaceable memorabilia. Despite this, the community rallied. Recently, Lascelles Hall CC secured £300,000 from the UK government’s Community Ownership Fund to rebuild its pavilion ahead of its 200th anniversary in 2025. The new facility—set to include changing rooms, a kitchen, bar, lounge, and toilets—will serve the wider community, not just cricketers.
We are nearly at the finishing post and our juniors would like to do their part by doing a sponsored walk to help raise a little but towards completing the new community hub and in turn securing junior cricket for hopefully the next 200 years!!
Our little ones will be doing a 2 mile Gawthorpe Gallop from the club up towards Lepton down through Gawthorpe and back to Lascelles Hall.
Our older juniors will be splitting from the smaller ones at Lepton down past the scout camp up the hill towards Grange Moor and stopping at Black Dick's Temple before returning past Whitley Willows along the stream and back up the hill to the club just over 5 miles.
