LARRY’S PLAYGROUND
On May 4, 1992, Lawrence “Larry” Biller and his business partner, Bruce Horowitz, died from gun violence. Larry, like his siblings and friends, played many baseball and basketball games at Hamden’s Bassett Park. Larry went on to become an umpire and managed the baseball fields.
So, when he died, in his memory, a portion of Bassett Park was turned into Larry’s Playground.
Over the last 30 years, Larry’s Playground has become a favorite spot for many children of all ages.
IT IS ALL FOR THE KIDS; TO MAKE THEM A LITTLE HAPPIER and happy kids also make happier parents.
Please consider sending a donation to the Town of Hamden, 2750 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, CT 06518 marked “Larry’s Playground”.
