Laptops for underprivileged kids in Bangalore
Donation protected
I am a high school student from Los Altos, California, and because of my love of computer science and my desire to help underprivileged kids thrive, I reached out to impoverished schools in Bangalore, India, and volunteered to teach kids how to code and donate laptops. I want to help kids who didn't have the luck to be born in a richer country or area like the USA, like my parents who fought their whole lives to leave India and come to the US so I could have a better education.
Sadly, these schools in poorer areas are struggling to serve their students and provide them with the education they need to escape poverty and have a better life. These schools are so rural we couldn't contact them through email, and they were incredibly grateful that we would go through the effort to get them such a valuable resource since they didn't have the means to do it themselves. These laptops will allow children in these rural areas to access a sea of information with just the click of a mouse, opening an infinite amount of possibilities for them, and creating a brighter future for the school and its students as a whole. It will also enable me to teach kids coding year after year, spreading a passion for technology and educating those in need.
With this money, we hope to buy 15 laptops, each for around ~20k ₹ (~250$), brightening the futures of those in need. Take a stand with empathy and fight for education. Donate now!
