Laptops for Recovery: Empower Women’s Futures

Hello my name is David Hampton BSN, RN. For my final masters in nursing course, I have proudly partnered with Heaven’s Army Outreach to Help Women in Recovery Rebuild Their Futures with Technology

Imagine overcoming addiction, trauma, and homelessness—only to face one more barrier: lack of access to technology. For women in recovery at The Home of Amazing Grace in Cleveland, Texas, a simple laptop can be a life-changing tool, helping them develop career skills, prepare for the GED, apply for jobs, and reconnect with their independence.

That’s why I’m leading the "Laptops Leading the Way" initiative—to provide 10 Acer Chromebook laptops (or equivalent) by April 4, 2025, ensuring these women have the resources they need to succeed.
