Laptops for Asbury Park Students Going to College

We are asking the community to help come together to raise money to purchase laptops for Asbury Park High School graduates.
Due to Covid-19 many of the vocational or college courses our Asbury Park graduates would normally attend in person are online for the foreseeable future. These specific students were not eligible for the free Chromebooks provided to our middle and high school students through the school because they have graduated. This will enable them to attend courses online to continue their education. These funds will be used to buy slightly used or new laptops for these graduates.
We're asking for donations to help us buy them immediately since classes in some colleges have already resumed. As of 7/30; we have 48 students that have communicated committed college attendance. We want these students to have the opportunity to keep up with their course work and not fall behind because they lack the technology needed. This support will literally mean whether or not some students are able to attend class.
Thank you for any amount you are able to donate! We are also asking for any donations of used laptops that are no older than 3-4 years old.
