The Lansing Association of Women’s Club (LAWC) was founded in January 1945 to provide a place for all minority women and other organizations to meet and promote the social and cultural welfare of the community.
The pandemic has been hard on all of us, and LAWC is no exception. As the organization and its members awakened from the pandemic pause, they learned the toll that not being able to regularly sponsor charitable activities has taken. With a lack of activities generating the pre-pandemic steady stream of donations, the organization’s president has had to pay the Clubhouse’s utility bills out of her own pocket – month after month. Funds are immediately needed to pay utilities. Financial resources are also necessary for additional building expenses such as repairs and modernization of the Clubhouse.
Please help preserve this historic site and the vital services the organization provides to the community.
