Landers Family House Fire
Donation protected
The Landers Family in Festus were displaced from their home due to a house fire on January 7, 2022. Most of their belongings are complete loss to the fire, smoke damage, and water damage. Their son is a 14 year old boy scout and Festus Middle School student. With quick thinking he was able to alert his mother and grandmother and help them escape the home safely, likely saving his family's lives. At this time, they will be having to stay with friends and family until they are able to find a place to live. This young man's mother is anticipating multiple surgeries this year, one as soon as this month for a critical health condition she has been suffering. His father is a military veteran and works long hours to support his family. His disabled grandmother also lives under their care. This family is a family who is often on the giving side in our community, always helping the less fortunate. They are good people who give what they can, when they can, even when they do not have a lot to give themselves. They live simple and have kind hearts. Any support will be greatly appreciated by Randy, Heidi, Erma and RJ and is much needed in the days to come as they were very limited to what personal belongings they were able to salvage from their home and will be having to start over again with nothing more than the prayer and support from their friends and family and our community at this time as they attempt to stay positive and find new beginnings for their family.
