Hi everyone! I’m Joel Kizito, and this semester I’ve had the chance to encounter Lamplight Literacy, an Arlington-based nonprofit that helps adults build literacy and learning skills to reach their personal and professional goals.

I’ve been struck by how deeply the Lamplight team believes in every learner’s potential - their work is all about opening doors through education and meeting people where they are. It’s been genuinely inspiring to see that in action.

To support their growing programs and staff capacity, I’ll be running the Cambridge Half Marathon on Sunday, November 2nd, and fundraising for Lamplight.
