Air Conditioning Fund 2019!

In the past years our Air Conditioning has been slowly going out, after being serviced and maintained its now 30 years old and needs replacement. When we leased our Unit Several years ago it was working fine, but over time just has gone out. We had two portable units donated and they help but can not cool our meeting space. As a non-profit we provide meeting space for 12 step recovery groups and pay our expenses from group contributions, and we operate with a small reserve not enough to purchase a new air conditioner. Our model is a 3 ton roof HVAC Commercial, and our NNN triple net lease does not provide replacement by the management. So we need your help to allow us to provide a cool meeting space for locals and visitors. Lambda Alano makes 12th step work possible. We have received donations from our Members and have a goal of $4.000 by April 30th. We thank you for your consideration. Las Vegas is Hot in the Summer up to 120 degrees, add 40 people in a confined space and it gets hot quickly. So We thank you for your help to keep us cool. We know that the Higher Power will provide. We are so grateful to the group members contributions, they are passing the basket a 2nd time to raise money for this important replacement. Most AA and NA groups have just enough to pay their rent and expenses and send their GSR to assemblies, they pay for their own coffee, books, literature etc. Please consider a donation today to help this vital long time Clubhouse in Las Vegas.  We would like to introduce our Organization to you. We are Lambda Alano Las Vegas. We are a Nevada Non-Profit and 12 Step Recovery Clubhouse with a focus on the LGBTQ recovery community, where everyone is welcome   We have been in operation since 1984 in Las Vegas. We are the largest independent and longest running and only LGBTQ Clubhouse environment in Las Vegas.  We maintain meeting spaces near the Las Vegas Strip at New Orleans Square in Commercial Center. We have been at this location for over 20 years.  We provide space for three groups currently and they host meetings 7 days a week. We host space for The Alcoholics Together group a Las Vegas Homegroup since 1984 of Alcoholics Anonymous and they provide meetings as 12:15pm, 8:00pm daily, and a Sunday 8am meeting. We also host Addicts Together a Narcotics Anonymous longtime homegroup with Meetings Daily at 6:30pm. And Freethinkers AA Meeting at 11am on Sundays for Atheists and Agnostics We wanted to partnership with you as part of our community outreach to LGBTQ community organizations, directory listings, events, the recovery community, hospitals and institutions, as a resource for referrals and to be updated in listings. We are happy to meet with you and provide literature and information to support your outreach efforts to the LGBTQ community whom has a high rate of alcoholism and addiction problems.  We also have meeting space available for New 12 step groups or meeting startups. All of our meetings are open for anyone to attend, and all are free. Our groups are involved with AA and NA in Las Vegas and have many service commitments available for newly sober/recovering people. They all offer sponsorship and the 12 Step way of life outlined in their programs. Lambda Alano has provided space and made 12th step work possible for these groups, helping thousands to recover in the Las Vegas Valley for Over 35 years. All of the meetings are anonymous, and in a safe location for tourists and locals. Free literature is available at every meeting and there is always a hot pot of coffee and refreshments for visitors.  Lambda Alano makes 12th step work possible for a variety of groups and helps to strengthen the LGBTQ community in Las Vegas, by providing safe, inclusive, and well-maintained meeting spaces. If you know of a group or a new meeting startup, we have slots available daily during the following hours  Monday Through Friday :5am-11:30 and 1:30-5:00pm & 9:30pm-12am Saturdays: 5am-11:30 and 1:30-5:00pm & 10:00pm-12am Sundays:  6am-7am, 9:30-10:30am, 1:30-5pm  Meetings after 1am open for consideration We are seeking to expand our 12 step offerings with new groups and meetings of  Al-Anon, SALA, GA, CO, OA, ACOA, Ala-Teen, Women’s and men’s groups, LGBTQ meetings, and other similar 12 step recovery meetings and groups We are enclosing our meetings flyers and groups information and information about 12 step recovery. And our business cards.  We are open to more community outreach and hosting a table at your events or speaking one-on-one or with groups, organizations, companies, and management as to the benefit of 12 step recovery and we have referrals to committees that do outreach with cooperation with the professional communities, and public information          We want to provide you with our updated Information to list and to be given out as needed.
