During Tropical Storm Arthur, Lakeview Playground suffered a direct hit from a tornado that caused significant damage throughout our facility. While we have always worked hard to maintain responsible financial reserves, a disaster of this magnitude is simply not something our annual operating budget can absorb on its own.

Initial estimates place the cost of repairs at approximately $30,000. These expenses include replacing damaged fencing, field cleanup and debris removal, dumpster and disposal costs, electrical repairs, and other necessary work to safely restore our playground and athletic fields.

Lakeview Playground is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit that serves thousands of children and families each year. Every dollar donated will go directly toward restoring the facility and ensuring our athletes can continue to play, learn, and grow in a safe environment.
