Lake Abram Maintenance Fund 2024

Donation protected
Greetings Lake Abram Neighbors,

I hope 2024 has treated you well so far! It is time again to collect contributions towards the maintenance of our lake, which as you know is our responsibility to take care of as the owners and a community. There are no outside entities involved in making sure it remains a beautiful asset to us – it is by our efforts alone.

Thank you to everyone who contributed last year, it is much appreciated. It is extremely important everyone give their part as we all share this responsibility. There are 16 homes on Lake Abram whose property lines extend into its waters – please help us keep it a safe and beautiful asset with an annual contribution of $150.

This money is used to test, treat, and spray for algae and water lettuce so that our lake may remain clean and our wildlife healthy. Since we increased the yearly service visits from Southern Weed Control from 8 to 12 treatments, the cost of our current annual contract is $1,740.

To help make collections easy, transparent, and contact-free, the GoFundMe titled Lake Abram Maintenance Fund is still available for use. However, please be aware that there is a transaction fee of $4.65 for each $150.00 donation charged by GoFundMe. You can also pay directly by Zelle using my phone # (504) [phone redacted] or by cash/check to me (Ted Hebbler - 2903 Lincoln Street). If paying by Zelle or cash/check, I will provide updates on the fundraiser’s page of these additions with anonymity at your request.

As of today, the balance of the Lake Abram Maintenance Fund Account is $169.44. Last year's funds have been used to cover maintenance costs for the lake up until March of this year. The next treatment will be around April 20th.

The following properties did not contribute last year:

2900 Johnson St
2910 Johnson St
2830 Johnson St
2825 Lincoln St
2831 Lincoln St

Your neighbors hope you will be able to contribute this year.

In addition, rainy season will soon be upon us, and it is extremely important we always keep debris out of the lake. In order to protect ourselves, it is important we remove vegetation and trash from the water and make sure landscapers are aware that the lake is not their dumping ground.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me via phone or email address provided below. Any help in reminding your fellow neighbor about the collection is also very appreciated.
