I am raising funds for someone who has come to the Collective Focus Resource Hub  needing help for several months. Lajuana Warren is a 46-year-old disabled Black woman who made a tremendous impact on me in the time I've known her because of her kindness, unique story, and big heart.

Lajuana has major physical struggles with three deteriorating bones in her spine that make it impossible for her to stand upright and navigate New York City. She currently has a walker, but urgently needs a back brace and surgery. She is in extreme and debilitating pain.

Lajuana is a victim of medical abuse. After visiting a Brooklyn hospital in 2020, her condition worsened to the point where all 10 of her toes were removed for unknown reasons. More studies are needed to determine what happened and solutions. She needs compassionate care from quality medical providers that can rectify the negligent and discriminatory treatment she faced in our healthcare system.

Lajuana is homeless, but that does not stop her from lighting up the Resource Hub with her positivity and generosity. Lajuana has donated many beautiful items to our Community Closet, despite having many needs herself.

Please help us raise emergency funds for this special person, who needs medical attention and stable housing right now. The shelter system in NYC is not accessible to people with mobility disabilities, and our efforts to use city resources have not improved Lajuana's quality of life. We must take matters into our own hands and help this wonderful neighbor.
