Lahaina Fire Fund for my brother Tom Niswander

My name is Laura Daniels and my brother survived the Lahaina Fire on August 8th 2023. 3 of his friends weren' so lucky. I live in Cambria, Ca, bu we grew up in Laguna Beach. He lost everything. His home, his car, his motorcycles, his camera's for his livilyhood. Insurance won't cover his things. Fema gave him $700.00 to find a new place to live, everything is now $2500-$5K a month for a small place. Fema/Red Cross have moved him to 3 different places and in 2 weeks he will be homeless. They say sorry you are on your own. My brother is a proud man and would never ask for anything, but I am asking to help him. I asked his permission, he said only if he can say thank you to anyone who helps him. I'm asking..he is a kind, funny, sweet man and it tears me up that he has no where to go. The funds will be going o find a place to live and buy a used truck to get him to work at the Hotel close by. He got a job there, but it won't cover the high rates for rent. or food. He has lived in Maui for 40 yrs.. and we call it home as well as Laguna Beach. Mahalo..
