LaDuke For Parks

I am learning so much in my campaign for the Park Ridge Park District Board of Commissioners.  I have been truly touched to have so many friends and neighbors offer their support!  I am working hard to earn the votes of my fellow citizens!

Your donation will help me run a competitive campaign, so that I can have the opportunity to serve my community in this position.  I have two school-age children, including a daughter in the Park District preschool.  I am also a member at the Centennial Fitness Center.  Between myself and my kids I am at a park or park facility at least five days a week, so I have the "boots on the ground" view of many of the park district programs.

In the six years I have lived in Park Ridge, I have upped my civic involvement as a member of the Park Ridge Newcomers Club and the founder of the Park Ridge Chapter of Dining for Women.  I have also organized smaller community efforts including a school supplies drive for Fill A Heart For Kids, a Beanie Baby drive to help provide comfort to foster children going through the adoption court, and a fundraiser to provide children's books to women in prison.  I am also a volunteer mediator with the Center for Conflict Resolution.

I am truly grateful for any support you can offer.  I hope I have the opportunity to bring my previous experience with a government board (former Board Counsel for the Illinois Racing Board), my conflict resolutions skills developed as a mediator, and my belief in combining fiscal responsibility with sustainability to the Park Board.
