Lacey's Legacy: Empower Christian's Journey
Donation protected
Hi everyone, I’m Sarah West and I am setting up this page for my baby sister Lacey (West) Trujillo’s final arrangements and assistance going towards ensuring that her 5 year old son with special needs (Christian) has access to the tools, resources and schools needed to help him assimilate and succeed in his life.
Yesterday, Friday May 10th, at 12:20am, my sister took her last breath. She was 34 years old.
Lacey had liver failure. She was ineligible for a liver transplant and because of that, toxins from her liver shut down all her other organs and she passed away. Lacey had a lot of stresses in her life and a lot of trauma that she suppressed.
With her use of alcohol to escape, her body just couldn't handle it. She reached out for professional help many times but the roadblocks became overwhelming. She finally stopped trying.
Her main goal in life was making sure every resource was available for her special needs son, Christian, and she was laser focused on him. She wanted to have all options available to Christian so he could have a full and successful life. She loved that baby with all her heart. Her love for her son and husband (Josue Trujillo) is only surpassed by her love and devotion to God.
We know there are so many people that knew and loved Lacey who would like to pay their respects and share their stories/memories. We are working to arrange a celebration of life gathering for her, however no timeline has been set at the moment. I will post an update with date/time and location once arraignments have been made.
In advance, I would like to thank anyone that is able to donate; I also want to thank anyone that has been sending their condolences, prayers and love.
