CHRISTMAS TOY APPEAL 2024
Glen Community Parent Youth Group today Launched their annual Christmas Toy Appeal which they run in partnership with Lenadoon Womens Group.
Last year over 300 children received toys or vouchers.
This year the Main Drop off Location for anyone wishing to donate New or Unwrapped Toys for children or Vouchers for teenagers is the Glen Community Complex 41c Suffolk Road, BT 11 9PE.
Padraig Sairseil and Naomh Pol GAA Clubs are also organising for their Club Members, Juveniles and players to leave toys on a specific day in their Clubs and they will then be handed over to the Appeal.
Professional Boxers Tommy Mc Carthy and Tyrone Mc Kenna are also sponsoring the Toy Appeal having made a great contribution to last years Appeal
St Oliver Plunkett Primary School and Nursery are also encouraging pupils and parents to donate and Donegal Celtic Youth and local businesses including Tribe Gym and Lab Gym are also sponsoring the Toy Appeal and encouraging their Members and families to contribute to assist families who are struggling in the middle of a cost of living crisis.
Robert Sands from Glen Parent Youth Group said that the Toy Appeal runs from Nov 8th until Dec 6th and he thanked those local clubs, school and businesses who have already committed to donating toys and vouchers for the Christmas Toy Appeal.
