La Dip John's retirement bonus

You know him as John from La Dip the nicest man with an ice cream and free water for all. John was at Friendship park tonight. I said you know you should of gone to Westford Academy last night the Westford Police Department put on a movie for Halloween and there was a pizza truck there. I was kinda joking. He said what’s the date. What was the date yesterday? I said the 9th well the 8th as he rushed over to his ice cream truck and grabbed his notebook and in disbelief pointing to his notebook and pointing to his head showing me that he forgot to go last night and said he doesn’t know if he will be able to do this ice cream thing next year after 40 years. He said he had 13 missed calls and voicemails yesterday and he just deleted them all. Said he can't keep up with it. Maybe a text he can see but not the calls. He felt so bad he missed last night though. I promised him I would let the police chief know he feels really bad and didn’t mean to ghost them…he said you know the chief, I said yeah, Chief Chambers, he is awesome. He said he is going to bring lots of ice cream to you guys and sees you all the time. So I was thinking when he shows up, we give him a go fund me that rivals what we did for Karim over at Nab BP of $24,000.
