Hi everyone, my name is Susana Rojas, and I am part of the MCCLA community. I’m reaching out to help raise funds for a space that has been vital to our artists, culture, and community. This is a moment that requires all of us to come together and invest in the future of our cultural center.
La cultura vive cuando la comunidad se une.
Hello community,
The Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts (MCCLA) has been a cornerstone of the Mission District since 1977. Founded by artists and community activists, MCCLA was created with a powerful vision: to promote, preserve, and uplift Latino cultural arts that reflect the living traditions and experiences of Chicano, Mexican, Central and South American, and Caribbean communities.
For nearly five decades, MCCLA has made the arts accessible as an essential part of community development and well-being. Through low-cost arts education classes, cultural programming, exhibitions, screenprinting services, and space for creative expression, MCCLA has been a place where culture is celebrated, artists are supported, and community thrives.
Today, we are at a critical moment.
We are coming together to raise funds to ensure that MCCLA can continue its legacy and reopen as a strong, stable cultural hub for future generations. Your support will help sustain programming, stabilize operations, and preserve this vital community space.
Every contribution—big or small—makes a real impact. Even a few dollars helps move this mission forward and reach those who need it most.
If you’re unable to donate at this time, sharing this fundraiser is just as valuable.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and continued
