India Childcare Volunteer Trip
Donation protected
Did you know that almost half the world (over 3 billion people) live on less than $2.50 a day, and at least 80% of humanity live on less than $10 a day?

Hello everybody! My name is Hannah McCartney and I've been given the amazing opportunity to travel to Delhi, India at the end of February to do 4 weeks of voluntary childcare work with a company called International Volunteer HQ (https://www.volunteerhq.org/).
These children come from extremely disadvantaged backgrounds, are often orphans, and have grown up without the luxuries that we here in the Western world take for granted. I find this deeply disturbing that even in 2015 there is still so much inequality in the way the other half of the world lives.
Duties I will be performing and helping out with vary depending on the specific placement, but generally involve giving personalized attention, mentoring, providing educational support, playing games and assisting with daily operations, such as cooking and cleaning.
I know 4 weeks is a short time, but I'm hoping to actively work toward the long-term goal of making a difference in the lives of the children in Delhi while I am there.
I feel as though my goal of reaching $1000 in one month through donations will be enough to provide toys, clothing, food and/or renovations, depending on what is a priority when I arrive over there. Everything that is donated through GoFundMe will be handed over in Delhi when I arrive (I am funding my own personal costs through working).
Your contribution will be helping more than you know. Are you able to donate to this cause and make a difference in the life of a child?
