Send in the Music is a small community of “Visiting Musicians.” We are mostly retirees who have the time, interest, and motivation to use our musical talents to comfort and cheer those in need. Since the start of the Corona Virus Pandemic it is no longer safe for volunteers to provide face-to-face services. Most of our musician friends are practicing social distancing, and feeling the loss of connection to their musician friends. In response to our musicians need for connection, Send in the Music is sponsoring a free weekly digital jam on Zoom. We have posted some jam tune videos on our website where they are easily accessible to anyone who is needing a bit of comfort or cheer. We are developing a digital concert series for nursing homes and medical facilities. We have added some inspirational stories to our blog. We are just ordinary folk, not business entrepreneurs. Your support will enable us to continue our mission, pay our bills, and cover related costs. We have no salaried employees. All our services are provided for free by volunteers. We hope you will consider supporting us. For more information, please visit our website: www.sendinthemusic.com. While there, read our Visiting Musicians Blog, watch some of our jam videos, and sign up to receive new information. Don’t forget to “like” us. Accompanying video music: "Slumber Song" arranged by Lorinda Jones, used with permission. Played by Pat Clark.
