We are MAKING A DIFFERENCE in one person’s life!

Lance Torres recently moved from the West Coast and has found joy in his new Massachusetts life. A proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, he leads a modest existence, dedicating his time to a full-time job at a center for autistic and developmentally disabled students and a part-time position at a church, where he assists with streaming all services and church events and plans to become a member.

Lance's life, like many who live paycheck to paycheck, has been a series of recent financial commitments, including a car purchase ten months ago and an apartment lease in April. Last week, he was in an accident that totaled his car, though thankfully no one was seriously hurt. Unfortunately, Lance now understands the “wording” of insurance policies and why some are significantly cheaper than others, as he won't receive any financial compensation for the totaled vehicle, even though fault was shared.

Lance's church family has rallied around him, ensuring he has rides for his 35–50-minute commute to work. They're now raising money through a GoFundMe to help him recover from recent setbacks. The campaign's purpose is to help him regain his footing, not to improve his prior situation. Lance is under immense pressure, juggling rent, daily expenses, and the challenge of securing new transportation, made even harder by the fact he's still paying for the car he owned for less than a year.
