Hi, my name is Lucas.

I am living in Kyrgyzstan and have been given an opportunity to help a small centre in the outskirts of Bishkek city.

“Molovodny village Orphanage”

Molovodny village Orphanage has been operating for 40 years. The facility houses 70 to 80 children, all of whom are living with congenital disorders.

The severity of their conditions ranges from mild to severe.

Currently, 30 of these children require 24/7 care, spending most of their lives in beds within the facility. The remaining children are under constant supervision and occasionally enjoy outings to Lakes and national parks.

At present, the government provides basic support for the facility; however, the funding is insufficient to meet the comprehensive needs of the children.

After a visit to give the children gifts for the Nowruz new year, I could see the children and staff could do with any assistance possible.

Working alongside the Molovodny team the funds will go towards the most urgent items needed for the children.
