Kynlee’s Kindness Journey
Donation protected
I adore Kynlee and Amy, they’ve shopped with me for years. They are the kindest, funnest girls and when you read below what Kynlee has selflessly agreed to do, you’ll also have tears in your eyes as I did. When I read her post I immediately asked her what I could do to help. The funds you so generously donate, even if just a few dollars will help cover the expense to allow Amy, Kynlee’s mom to travel with Kynlee and Nick for this procedure. I just want them to have no additional worries or any financial stress during this journey, remember they also just paid for a wedding, LOL.
KYNLEE’S STORY BELOW:
Last April, I joined the NMDP registry. I signed up because someone local needed a transplant. I never expected to be matched to anyone—especially so quickly. Many people stay on the registry for years without ever finding a match.
In January, I found out that I was a potential match for a child with a rare blood disorder who needs a bone marrow transplant to have the chance at a long, healthy life. After further testing, I waited to see if I was the best possible match for them.
On Monday, March 24th, I got the news—I am their best match. In just a few weeks, Nick and I will be traveling across the country so I can donate my bone marrow to this young patient. It’s a small thing I can do, but I hope it makes a big difference in their life.
We would appreciate prayers for:
The child receiving the transplant—that they stay strong and that everything goes smoothly.
Safe travels and an easy procedure/recovery for me.
Everything is happening quickly, but I’m so grateful for the support from Nick and my family. This is an opportunity I don’t take lightly, and I just hope it brings this child and their family some hope
The process to join the registry is so simple, and NMDP has been incredible in making everything smooth and stress-free. If you’ve ever thought about signing up, I truly encourage it—you never know when you might be able to help someone. You can swab yourself at home, drop the kit in the mail, and NMDP does the rest!

Sweet side note: When I received the text saying NMDP had exciting news for me, I was nervous and honestly a little scared. I was at work so I couldn’t answer the call right away. Graves Into Gardens by Elevation Worship started playing over the stereo, and I immediately felt peace in knowing that whatever happens is God’s plan, and he doesn’t give us anything we can’t handle. If you haven’t heard it, listen to it
