Kyloh’s Helmet Journey
Kyloh is our 8 month old son, and has recently been diagnosed with Plagiocephaly. He falls into the “severe” category. This means he has a misshaped head with one side being quiet flat and the other with a significant bulge, this has also caused his ears to to shift position.
We have tried natural treatments to correct this since he was a newborn with little improvement. Less than 1 in 10 babies with plagiocephaly will need a helmet and unfortunately our Kyloh is that 1 in 10, which is the basis of this gofundme page.
Helmet therapy is most effective if treatment starts between six and eight months of age and is completed before 12 months, as this is the time of rapid growth of the skull.
Plagiocephaly does not usually affect the development of a baby's brain, but if left untreated it may change their physical appearance by causing uneven growth of their face and head.
Private care is our only option right now and this sudden expense is simply too high. I hate asking for help, but pride aside our child’s health is of utmost importance.
