Overview
Hello everyone! My name is Kyler Mooney, and I am a senior at Southern Lehigh High School and a Life Scout in Troop 364 of Coopersburg PA. I am currently working on my Eagle Scout Project and seeking to refurbish a section of Living Memorial Park in the heart of our community. More specifically, I am looking to bring new life to Frank's Pavilion, which is situated closest to the Upper Saucon Rail Trail, directly behind our troop's cabin. In this restoration, I plan on installing vandalism-proof lighting fixtures, painting all the tables, power-washing the pavilion's panels, trimming encroaching trees, staining the support posts, and repairing all damages currently present in the facility.
My Goal
Living Memorial Park has always held a close place in my heart as an area in which the members of our community in our ever-growing town can gather to converse, have fun, and connect. Over time, however, facilities naturally wear down due to weather, accidents, or, unfortunately, in the case of Frank's Pavilion, vandalism. Through this project, Frank's Pavilion will be properly repaired so that members of the community can have a modern facility where gatherings can occur without the risk of encountering any safety hazards or unwanted conditions.
Project Materials & Cost
The total cost for my project has come to a sum of $2,000, which can be broken down into these categories:
1.) Materials - electrical supplies, stain, wood boards, paints, ground sealer, power washing fluids, etc...($1,666)
2.) Supplies - water & food, weed killer, garbage bags, tape, paint trays, warning signs, safety glasses, gloves, etc... ($200)
3.) Tools - paint brushes & rollers, rope, tar spreader, branch clippers, etc... ($134)

Thank You
Any and all donations to this project are enormously appreciated on behalf of both myself, my family, and the park committee. My journey in scouting has come a great distance from when I was a mere Cub Scout in elementary school to where I stand today. The Scouts of America has given me a number of opportunities throughout my life to leave an impact on the community in which I live, but no other opportunity has come close to this. If you would be so kind as to share this GoFundMe online with friends, family, and on social media, I would greatly appreciate it. I hope to spread this message as far across the local community as I can, and your assistance in such an effort works wonders. Thank you again for the support.
Signed,
Kyler Mooney
