Kyleens recovery

I am starting this Gofundme on behalf of my cousin Kyleen Merriman.

On April 3rd Kyleen was traveling Highway 3 northbound with a friend and their kids headed to have a play date, when it started to hail and covered the road. The friend had just started to slow down, as conditions were getting worse, when another car came around the corner traveling south and entered their lane of travel, hitting them head on. The crash was severe and totaled both vehicles. All occupants were transported by ambulance. The friend and her son were released with minor injuries but due to being pregnant, was monitored that night at KMC. After receiving a CT scan Kyleen was diagnosed with a glioma brain tumor and was told she should have surgery in 2-4 weeks. Everyone was released with minor injuries. Her son Cedar having some lacerations to his face, and daughter Kiele mostly just bumps and bruises. However, after being released Kiele’s condition started to worsen, and she was then admitted into sacred heart Children’s hospital for some inflammation to her intestines, a blockage because of it, and a bleed in her duodenum. Doctors estimate she will be there 3-5 weeks, depending on how her healing goes. The support they have received not only from family and friends, but hospital staff, acquaintances, and community members in general has been astonishing and we are so grateful. Due to the cost of traveling, making the hospital their home for now, food, and other expenses, as well as Kyleen’s medical and recovery for her own surgery in the future, we are asking for anyone who is able, to make donations.
