Kylan’s Christmas Appeal
Just when I thought my 14yr old son couldn’t make me any prouder, he pulls this one out the bag!
Kylan attends Lowton Church of England High School and they are currently raising money for an Ugandan Orphanage- Oasis . I know lots of the children have been coming up with ideas but Kylan has decided to take on a challenge of his own!
Kylan will be running 14k on Saturday 6th December and would love to get as many sponsors as possible.
Kylan’s reasons are that after such a successful year with his rugby (gaining a scholarship for Leigh Leopards), school and his piano skills… he would like to give something back to those less fortunate. He has chosen 14k as he says it’s a kilometre for every ‘Happy Christmas’ he has had so far.
As his parents this makes us incredibly proud and very emotional, that at the young age of 14 he recognises the importance of giving and caring for the world around him.
Allen Kizoto runs a home for orphans in Kampala, Uganda. They are not government supported and are often in dire need of food and basic provisions. Over the last couple of years the children of Lowton High School have been able to help provide the children with beds, mattresses, sheets, blankets, curtain rails and food supplies. They would like to help them again this year so they can replace the things that have worn out and buy new buckets, beds, mattresses, bed sheets, towels, mosquito nets and crockery.
Thank you all for your support
