Hey,  my name is Cory Groome and this little beautiful boy is my son Kayden. Kayden is 8 months old. When Kayden was 2 and half months old he began having seizures which are believed to be caused by a condition called HIE, which means he was without oxygen long enough to cause significant brain damage. He is now special needs and requires around the clock care and has multiple doctors appointments weekly.

He has come a long way from where he started and is currently living at home with me and his grandma. He has an in-home nurse who assists during the week and is undergoing physical and occupational therapy. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the state is no longer involved in his case and I am having to independently acquire custody to ensure he will remain in his home and on an assured and stable path to wellness. 

I am reaching out and pleading to all of my friends, family and coworkers to assist me in making sure Kayden is safe and can stay here on the path he is on. Any donations will go directly towards his continued medical care and legal fees to keep Kayden at home with us. My sole desire is to keep my amazing son here with me and for him to have stable access to the at home care and recovery that will allow him to thrive.
