I, Robert MacPherson, in no way will be benefiting from this fundraiser. When it began, it was unbeknownst to Adam, he is now aware, and extremely grateful. All funds will go directly to him.

Thanks to those that helped clarify this.

My perspective of the situation has now become clearer and our original goal, while substantial, will not alleviate current financial stresses. With a longer recovery time, no guarantee of full mobility, and other complications our new goal will go along way to help Adam reassess, recover, and plan next steps. Thanks again for your support in this fundraiser.

After just opening his own survey company this spring in Edmonton, Alberta, Adam suffered a complete tear of his Achilles tendon, an immobilizing and severe injury requiring a lengthy recovery. To make matters worse, he has recently been renovicted, leaving him in a precarious and challenging circumstance. To help alleviate some of the financial pressures, Adam and his daughter have moved back to PEI to stay with family while he recuperates from his injury. While this helps a great deal, Adam is still faced with financial hardship, which is why we're asking for your support. Let's help our friend get through this difficult time and back on his feet.
