On April 15 in Roger’s Park, an electrical fire broke out Stephen and Dezmond’s apartment while they were sleeping. Dezmond woke Stephen, the smoke was overwhelming they broke a window to grasp for air and to call 911.

They made it out with only their phones and the clothes they were wearing. They lost everything else, and sadly, even their cat Mal.

They share their immense gratitude to the firefighters that saved them from their third story apartment. Not only did the firefighters save Stephen and Dezmond, but they also saved their other cat, Mochi.
