It’s been almost a year since we hosted a Ukrainian refugee family. It was a first for us, but the joy we received from being able to help them was immeasurable. Their first year has been a real struggle: adapting to a new country, waiting for work documents, starting at new schools, learning a new language, and so on… Unfortunately, the adjustment is still ongoing and we know the road ahead will not be easy. We are grateful to be able to play a part in their story, and now we’re asking if you would be willing to play a part, as well.
Currently, despite working two jobs, this family (a mother, grandmother, and two young children) is still finding themselves short on money each month. We want to keep the girls in school where they are, offering them some semblance of normalcy and stability.
Our job at The Koolik Group has been helping people “find their place in the world,” and we want to help this family keep theirs. We have set a fundraising goal of $50,000. This number would cover a year’s rent, utilities, and other extraneous expenses. We want to make sure that on top of everything this family has been through, they can stay a part of our amazing community. Should you be interested in donating, any amount helps.
