Hello my name is Marnie. My son Mitchell his Fiancé Jenna, and children Logan and Everleigh are exited to be bringing baby Landon into this world. As life was falling together perfectly with a new house and confirming their pregnancy ,
they were thrown a curve ball. Baby Landon was then diagnosed with Truncus arteriosus. Truncus arteriosus is a congenital heart defect where the single large artery leaving the heart doesn't split into the aorta and pulmonary artery during fetal development. This results in a mix of oxygen-rich and oxygen-poor blood, a hole between the heart's lower chambers (a ventricular septal defect or VSD), and often other heart abnormalities. The condition requires immediate surgical correction after birth to ensure the baby receives enough oxygen. They will be require to temporarily relocate to Toronto at 36 weeks so when he is ready to join this world he can be transported to Sick Kids and have his surgery. These two are so strong and prepared for what’s a head, but with this comes the stress of being off work , leaving their other children home in Windsor over Christmas and also trying to balance accommodations and managing their bills. While they will use any resources offered to them we want to help relieve as much stress as possible. Any and all funds raised will 100% go towards transportation to and from Windsor for appointments , bringing the other two kids to see them, bills here in Windsor while they are off work,Meals , Accommodations, and any unexpected miscellaneous expenses that may occur. While this go fund me is active I will be adding any updates so that you can follow the journey. To date Landon is doing awesome and is other wise developing as he should be. We can’t wait to meet him.
Today we were able to see our precious boy with a 3D ultrasound. All considering he is growing well which is what we want so that he can be healthy for his surgery.
