On the eve of Kol Nidre, vandals desecrated the gates and front walls of the Jewish cemetery in Warwick, NY, with swastikas and anti-Semitic slurs. The cemetery is the final resting place for scores of Jewish residents of the greater Warwick area, many of whom have deep roots with our local URJ congregation, Temple Beth Shalom, in Florida, NY.

Each year, in conjunction with our camp color war, Maccabiah, we identify a cause close to camp for which we can raise awareness and funds. This week, representatives from Temple Beth Shalom joined our camp community to share about this experience and the supports that Kutz Camp offered in the days and weeks following.

Our relationship with the Temple Beth Shalom family continues as we empower our camp community to tap into their spheres of influence on social media to help educate and fundraise for 24-hours to support this effort to rebuild the entryway to the cemetery.

Thank you for supporting our teen philanthropists and this cause close to our community's heart. Please help us share the effort and join us in supporting #Kutz4Community today!
