KURSE: KIDS UNIFIED ROCK STUDIO ELYRIA FUNDRAISER

Hi we are Lorain County Music Foundation and keeping Live Music alive in our community and helping the next generation make music is what we’re all about! We are seeking help for KURSE: our Kids Unified Rock Music Studio Elyria, a kids free music studio started in August of 2022. We offer free music lessons, guidance, mentoring, knowledge, experience, and support, to under privileged and challenged kids in our community and beyond. We teach the kids all aspects of the music industry, everything from how to get over stage fright, stage presence, how to book and set up a gig, to taking them on live music field trips, where they can see and experience from backstage as well as live music in all its aspects. Some of the students have played at our events and beyond! We have our Elyria Studio space graciously donated by the Thompson Family and EMI Print Group. We have bought and collected some instruments to teach the kids, but we do not have the funding for much-needed things, such as music books, repairs for instruments, setup of guitars, strings, drum sticks, more instruments, and other necessities for the students. We are seeking donations to help us cover the expenses of these items and are also looking for and accepting all donations of instruments in decent/minimal repair condition. We are also accepting teachers/coaches to help with the studio.
