Hello, my name is Hannah and im making this fundraiser in hopes to help my family - My partner, our 2.5 year old autistic daugher, our 6 month old son and myself.. If you know me, you know i dont like to feel vulnerable. I dont like to ask for help or feel as though im being a burden. Everyone has there own problems and I never want to feel like im adding to anyone's "plate" so please know it is very hard for me to do this - "courage is not about avoiding help its about admitting you need it".

In February of this year (2025) my family was forced to move out of our apartment with only 10 days to find somewhere to go. I was 5 months pregnant with my son at the time. Day and night I was on my phone filling out rental applications one after another crossing my fingers I would find somewhere for us to go with such short notice. Fortunately at the last minute I found the apartment were currently living in. Im not going to disclose the location for our safety but I will say it is a well known building in Peterborough ON.

Long story short, since this past July our apartment has been riddled with bed bugs. I mean the infestation is unabarable. My poor familt wakes up covered in bites head to toe. Theres nights we cant help but just lay there and scratch ourselves into frustration. It leaves us unable to sleep, relax or even feel comfortable in our home. We've done everything we possibly can to try and eliminate the problem from being sprayed/fumigated every 14 days for a total of at least 5 times now, having everything we own in garbage bags pushed to the middle of the rooms. Having to dispose of many things like our couch, fabric/plush decor - including our christmas tree and decorations, and many of my 2.5 year old daughters large stuffed animals and plush figurines. Nothing has even remotely helped this infestation. Thankfully we are in the process of terminating our lease, making a report through Peterborough Public Health and awaiting for hearings with the LTB. Fortunately our family has offered to share their home with us for the time being until we can find somewhere new to live. With all that being said we will have to replace all our furniture...were hoping to be gifted enough money to replace the necessities. Once we move we will need a new king size mattress, a twin size mattress and a crib mattress. We would also be very greatful to buy a small couch and to replace some of our daughters plush/stuffed animals. I know its the holiday season and this wild economy has caused financial issues for everyone but if you have anything to spare or if youre even willing to share amongst your social platforms we would be extremely thankful ❤️
