Hi, my name is Jenny. On December 22, 2022, my nephew Kyle was having some yellowing in the whites of his eyes and his skin appeared abnormally discolored. His mother (my sister Stacey) was directed by his physician to head to urgent care where Kyle's health quickly began to decline. He was immediately sent to ER at Saint Joseph Mercy in Ann Arbor where he remains in critical condition in the ICU fighting an autoimmune disorder called warm hemolytic anemia. In a nutshell, his body is attacking his red blood cells faster than he can make them and it's causing numerous amounts of other issues. His healthcare team is trying to find the root cause. He has had a bone marrow aspiration and a lymph node removed for analysis as they try and rule out leukemia/lymphoma. He's had numerous blood transfusions, his spleen ruptured, he developed pneumonia, and he's been poked, prodded and examined. He has been through more in his short life than I have in my 40 years. His Father and Mother have sat by his bedside nonstop and NEVER ask for help other than prayer. They are always the first to help out others and I want to do the same for them. I want them not to worry about anything other than being with their son so, I'm asking if you can help in any way to take off any financial burden they may face in the coming months it would mean so much to me for a family that deserves it more than anyone I know.
