On June 29, 2025, my sister, her husband, their sweet 3-year-old daughter, and their adult daughter went through something no family should ever have to experience.

A fire broke out at the back of their home and spread quickly, leaving them with nothing but the clothes they were wearing. By some miracle, they all made it out safely. But their home, their belongings, and the life they had built together were completely destroyed.

They’re safe, but they’re heartbroken. In a matter of minutes, they lost their home, their memories, and the sense of stability they had created for their little girl.

Now they’re trying to figure out how to start over from scratch, while still being the strong, loving parents their daughter needs every day.
