Lourdes Pilgrimage
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Rebecca, and I am running the Glasgow half marathon on the 4th May, fundraising to be a helper on the Lourdes Pilgrimage with the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton. As a helper, I will assist pilgrims who are sick, disabled, and elderly—individuals for whom this pilgrimage means so much. Lourdes is a unique place where those often overlooked or neglected by society are placed front and center. For many pilgrims, Lourdes is the highlight of their year; it is a place of healing, community, spiritual transformation, peace, and love. The pilgrimage brings together people from all walks of life, uniting us under Christ through our Blessed Mother, who guides us to her Son.
I had the transformative experience of visiting Lourdes for the first time last year. I was deeply moved by each pilgrim's witness, powerful love, and inspiring stories. Our Lady of Lourdes beautifully unites individuals, and I know that the friendships I built on this pilgrimage will last a lifetime, enriching my life for years to come!
On the 4th May, I will run the Glasgow Half Marathon to raise my funds and return to Lourdes as a helper. If you are able to make a donation, I would be extremely grateful!
The funds raised will cover my essential travel and accommodation costs with the Diocese. Any extra funds will be donated to help subsidise expenses for other pilgrims and helpers.
