My name is Chris Jones, and I have been a member at Kings Ridge Swim Club my whole life. I am a scout in Troop 1865 and am working on my Eagle rank. For my Eagle project, I am partnering with Kings Ridge to expand the shed, giving us much needed storage space for the swim team during the summer and deck furniture during the winter.
With the help of volunteers from my troop I will:
- Extend the shed by 20 feet.
- Replace existing footers with proper concrete (the old footers were driven directly into the ground and are now rotting).
- Re-shingle the entire roof.
- Repaint the entire shed to match.
The cost for the extension is limited to materials and tool rentals, which will cost an estimated $5,000.
For this project, we need to raise $5,000 by March 31 to buy materials and rent tools.
Work is expected to begin by April 1st and conclude by the pool opening on Memorial Day weekend.
