On Thursday the 11th of August Kristen Lee, was in a horrific car accident. She lost control of her car and hit a tree on the driver’s side. The impact of the car and the tree flipped the car down a ravine. She woke up in the car upside down and facing the back of the car suspended in the middle console. If she had remained in the driver’s seat she would have been crushed. She has sustained very serious injuries to her vertebrae, breaking her C2 and a compound fracture to her T5. She also broke the ulna bone in her right arm and has several severe lacerations on her head. It is a miracle that she survived and still has use of her limbs. She is aware and talking, sometimes even singing. All of these acts are truly amazing gifts from God given the state of the car in the crash. She has been placed in a HALO to keep her neck and back perfectly still while it heals. She will be in this HALO a minimum of twelve weeks. At the end of the twelve weeks, depending on how she heals, she may have to undergo a spinal surgery on her C2 vertebrae. That would be worse case and doctors are hopeful the bones will heal with the HALO given her age and health. When she is released from ICU and able to come home she will need medical assistance, medical supplies, and around the clock care and monitoring. The family, Mickey, Jessica, and Jimi Lee, are asking instead of flowers and gifts that you would donate to help fund all her medical supplies and therapy. The family also asks for prayers for healing both physically and mentally.
