Sean & Krishma’s Kilimanjaro Climb 2025

In September 2025 we have decided to take on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society and Pulmonary Hypertension Association UK. All money raised will be donated directly to these two charities.

Dementia is the UK’s biggest health and social care crisis, with 1.4 million people expected to be living with dementia by 2040. 1 in 3 people born in the UK today will be diagnosed with dementia in their lifetime. Alzheimer’s Society provides support from day one, from the moment someone starts worrying about their symptoms, Alzheimer's Society can be there for them. Your support means that people don't have to face this condition alone, and that together, we can build a better tomorrow for everyone affected by dementia. Donations are also invested into ground-breaking research into better ways to treat and care for those with dementia.

This charity is very close to mine and my families hearts, as in 2018, BapuJi (Grandad) JSB was diagnosed with dementia. A man who lit up the lives of every person he came across and a true motivator to everybody. It is heartwarming to know that he has access to the wonderful help and support of Alzheimer’s Society, making everyday a little bit easier.

Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a rare condition that causes high blood pressure in the blood vessels connecting the heart and lungs. It can affect anyone at any age. In August 2024, out family suffered the heartbreaking loss of our Auntie K. She was the source of light and warmth in every room; the most caring and thoughtful person to everyone who was lucky enough to have known her. K looked after us when we were small, and watched us grow. She always motivated everyone to make good choices and to live a worthwhile life, evident in her beautiful and successful daughters. K battled with a devastating illness which nobody deserves, and this climb will allow us to raise money for a charity working to aid others in their own battle with PH. This charity is the only charity in the UK to provide support to those suffering with PH, helping them to enjoy a better quality of life, raising awareness, and participating in revolutionary research daily. All donations are appreciated, as this is a cause we care about deeply.
