Hi friends,
I’m sure many of you have heard of the huge challenges and tragic consequences coronavirus has caused in developing countries. Nepal has been one of those.
Kathmandu life has screeched to a sharp halt as tourists have not been able to travel for over a year now. No tourists, no money, no government support. With still no end in sight, life in an already disadvantaged country has become dire.
As I have travelled to Nepal numerous times and have developed close relationships with people in many regions of Nepal, I feel very strongly about trying to help out in any way I can.
I decided to start growing my hair when I did my first trip to Nepal in 2016, and now I have decided to cut my hair to raise money for this beautiful country.
I would really appreciate any donation, no matter how big or small.
AUD $50 would help a small family buy rice, lentils and vegetables for a month.
AUD $20 would help purchase a box of masks and sanitiser.
I will also be donating my precious locks to the Cancer Council.
