My name is Debra. We experienced an electrical fire in the attic last night in our home. Due to being unemployed for several months, my house insurance had lapsed.

We are displaced from our home due to no electricity, heat, or water.

We will need to have at least 3 rooms re-wired, if not the whole house. I am still catching up on bills from when I was unemployed.

I am asking for help in covering the costs of repairs so we can go home sooner.

Update: Thank you so much to those of you who have donated. We are in the process of getting estimates for the wiring repairs so we can go home. It will probably be a while.

I am thankful that the damage isn't worse and that Mike & I are ok as well as the cats.
