For months, our community has asked the City to install a much-needed street light on Basswood Drive to improve safety, visibility, and peace of mind for our neighbors. After multiple requests went unanswered, Community Movement Builders and local residents decided it was time to take action ourselves.

We are launching this GoFundMe to raise the funds needed to install a safe, reliable street light that will serve the families of Basswood Drive—especially our children, elders, and those who walk home in the evenings.

This project is about more than a light.

It’s about community power, neighborhood safety, and showing that when the City moves slow, we move forward together.
