KonnectKids Care Packages and Peace Camps!

We are KonnectKids, and we want to help.
Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, three students in high school and middle school came together with an idea to help families in our communities. That's why KonnectKids (http://konnectkids.org/) began as a program that connected our team members with children over Zoom video conferencing. Through these virtual meetings, we provided these kids with a fun and engaging experience that they could safely enjoy from the comfort of their own homes during the pandemic. We have met so many unique children from all over the country and have loved seeing them grow and learn new things. Most importantly, we have seen how attention and care can bring so much happiness. That is how we came up with the idea of creating personalized care packages for children in need.
We want to have an even greater impact and help as many children as possible. KonnectKids knows that when children receive gifts, whether big or small, it brings them happiness and a feeling that they are cared for. Through personalized care packages, we can spread this feeling to children in need so that they can experience this joy. We know firsthand how diverse and unique each child is, which is why our care packages will have items hand-picked specifically for each child’s needs and wants. For example, a package could contain school supplies, toys, arts and crafts supplies, stationery, and necessities.
Through our partnership with Little Friends for Peace (http://www.lffp.org/), an organization that focuses on contributing to a worldwide culture of peace, the care packages will be delivered to the children in need at The Perry School Community Service Center in Washington DC. Parts of your donation will also be used to create scholarships so children may attend LFFP Peace Camps!
Here’s how it works:
1) Once we receive your generous donation, our team will select items for each child’s care package, as well as write a personalized note for the child. Everything is customized according to the child’s interests and needs.
2) Each care package will be lovingly assembled by a member of the KonnectKids team.
3) The KonnectKids team then distributes care packages to children in need.
We are trying to make an impact on the children in our communities. To do this, we need your help. By making a donation of any amount, you are spreading joy to children.
