Kokrobite Volunteering

At the end of March we will be spending 3 weeks volunteering in Kokrobite, Greater Accra, Ghana with an NGO that works with the most underprivileged children to support them to have a quality education that also directly addresses challenges specific to the local context and provides broader skill sets that are not currently achieved through curricular subjects or normative classroom activities alone.

The programmes add value, depth and relevancy to the students’ education. Examples of programmes and projects include

- Public Health Education where we run projects such as First Aid, Sexual & Reproductive Health and Community Care,

- Gender Equality, which includes projects such as Menstrual Health Management, Free Being Me and Gender Based Violence,

- JEDI, which includes projects such as Civic Engagement, Human Rights and My Self Care,

Climate and Environmental, which includes projects such as Green Club and Marine Conservation and

- Education, which includes projects such as Book Club, After School Club and 1-1 tutoring.

Every cent donated goes directly to the program we will be working with, all our costs we are covering ourselves. Any donation is greatly appreciated and every euro goes a long way in Kokrobite.
