I am so honored to share Janie and Kenzo's story! For those that don't know me- I am a friend of Janie's and in the last year we have bonded over the world of foster care and adoption. I have witnessed the calling God has to expand their family and I couldn't be happier to watch His plan unfold for their life. While the majority of this journey is beautiful, I know there will be difficult times and road blocks. First and foremost, I ask that you join me in covering their family in prayer over the next few months. Prayers for a potential birth family, prayers for the waiting, and prayers as they transition into a family of 5.  While Janie and Kenzo have taken all the steps to prepare for this financially and would never burden their friends and family, I  personally know the costs can be overwhelming. I also know that they have an amazing village of people who love and care about them deeply and would be honored to play a role in their adoption by contributing financially. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and be on the lookout for exciting updates in the near future!

A message from Janie and Kenzo:

We are so grateful for the generosity of our friends and family, who continue to overwhelm us with their love and support for growing our family. Through this journey to adoption, we have cherished all the words of encouragement, letters, hugs, tears, and prayers that have been shared with our family. We could not have asked or hoped for more. And yet, you continue to bless us with your love and support. 

Our private adoption will cost around $45,000 and we are planning to take out a loan to pay for it.  However, with the encouragement of friends – we are opening our story to even more participation from friends and family, if you so desire and it blesses you to give. It is our hope and commitment that some day, we will be able to bless another family in their journey to grow their family. Therefore, we will use this money in our own adoption now (and take out less of a loan) and then one day we will match any contributions, dollar for dollar and pay-it-forward for another family’s adoption!

It is difficult to find words to express our gratitude, but all the same, thank you for your part in our life!
