This fundraiser has been created by the family of Doug & his wife Sabrina who both reside in Port Alberni, B.C. They had premature twins Koda Quin Cooper & Milo Cove Cooper who weighed 2.5 lbs in Victoria General Hospital at 27 weeks from a Prolapse Cord.

With great sadness we lost Koda 4 days later he just wasn't strong enough, Milo continues to fight to survive from 2 brain bleeds, a 90% probability of Cerebral Palsy. Due to the brain bleeds an emergency transfer to Vancouver Childrens Hospital for shunt surgery was nessasary , and tests currently indicating possible Meningitis.

Doug and Sabrina remain unable to work as they are now displaced at Vancouver Childrens Hospital to be with Milo, with no nearby family or friends. Thus, cell phone usage and internet both remain vital for communication with family, friends, and their overall social support network.

This fund is important since both Doug and |Sabrina have already depleted their savings, and are now relying on credit cards to pay for daily expenses. This fund is desperately needed as it will help to cover their everyday expenses such as gas, groceries, motels, mortgage, grief therapy, and disability aids yet to be identified as necessary for Milo.

Any donations at all will be greatly appreciated, and will be a tremendous source of support for Doug and Sabrina as they grieve the loss of Koda and try their best to provide ongoing support for Milo now, and into the near future.

While timelines vary greatly on a daily basis, Doug and Sabrina remain hopeful that they will be able to bring Milo home to start the next chapter of his lifelong journey in June 2023 at the earliest, or sometime to be determined thereafter.
